Already had been given a 2nd warning:  http://www.skepticalscience.com/news.php?n=1131#68680

Then posted this (since-deleted) comment:

Climategate 2.0 in Context - Solar Warming

Anthony Watts and Steve McIntyre are not on the public dime, Anthony Watts and Steve McIntyre are not advocating regulation on me or anyone else. Everyone knows what Anthony Watts and Steve McIntyre think about climatologists and climate change.

But, let's have everyone's email record released. John Cook's would be a good start.

No more warnings; subsequent infractions will be grounds for suspension of posting privileges.

Now I'm working at UQ, I wonder when I'll get my first FOI request? :-) Not looking forward to the hassle - I have enough on my plate without having to deal with the harrassment from deniers looking to waste my time.

John, assuming you have you own personal lap top, FOI requests may well not be able to touch its contents.  That being the case, if you are worried at all, you can keep all SkS related emails on your personal computer and untouchable.

Arguably SkS related posts on a UQ computer would still be outside an FOI request as being of a personal nature.  That is, they are until UQ starts explicitly funding SkS (and its authors).

It's worthwhile checking with your management to see how they would like this handled/arranged.

Ounce of prevention ...

If JC uses his personal lab top at UQ, he presumably is connecting to the internet via a UQ wireless network,  This could potentially present a legal problem via-a-vis FOI law.

Who is Seve Cass? The name rings a bell.

Is actually a UQ laptop. There is a slight possibility that any email on my laptop, even to non-UQ.edu.au emails, are subject to FOI. Unlikely but possible. I'll talk to someone.
