Filing FOI against scientists researching why kids start smoking:
It's very simple, John: The tobacco companies just want to know how they're failing these kids, when they haven't convinced them to start smoking for their 18th birthday celebration. Perfectly legitimate: corporate self-improvement, don't you know. Research was probably funded out of their taxes, anyway.
These Big T people always over-reach. Unbelievable.
On a lighter note, there is a very funny book by Christopher Buckley, Thank You for Smoking.
