John Cook

Earthscan have finalised the cover of our book which comes out in April - here's a preview for SkSers:

I'm pretty sure the title alone will have Anthony Watts frothing at the mouth. So come April, should be some interesting times :-)

On my comment thread posts, I have occaisonaly suggested that the Republican Party has effectivley replcaced its elephant mascot with an ostrich.

I like it.  The sand is appropriate considering that desertification will be one consequence of climate change.  I'm sure the deniers will be absolutely livid that you called them deniers, but that's their problem.

John. Is it too late to change this?

Simple addition. This cover, plus the shadow of a lion that the ostrich is hiding from.

I think it is too late, it's pretty far along in the process now. But nice idea re the lion shadow. Although I do like the simplicity of this design.

I like the idea of the book, but the osterich image has been around for quite a while and is a bit dated as an idea.

I think if you can change it, I would do so.

Suggest adding a trail of droppings.
