Testing Plugins

One feature I've been wanting to enable on this site for a while now is the ability for people to edit their comments for a short period of time after submitting them. I think this is useful so people can fix mistakes/add additional thoughts. I hadn't been able to find a plugin for this I like because the ones I tried had ugly icons or other problems like that.

I found one that might be alright though. This post is so people (including myself) can try it out and see what it's like. Feel free to post here and tell me what you think.

  1. I think I"m okay with the plugin as it is now. I'm not sure if I should keep the countdown feature, but it could be useful to let people know how much time they have. I might need to consider if 15 minutes is the right amount of time to give people to edit their comments.

  2. Hey Brandon -

FYI. I had some two trouble making edits on my most recent comment in the thread downstairs. It says I still have time to make changes, and I did make some edits successfully, but when I tried to make some additional edits and "save" them, they didn't stick - it just reverted back to the pre-edit version. . Don't know if it might have something to do with me being on my phone?

  3. Is it possible you might have had time left when you started to make the edits but ran out of time before you finished them?

Also, just so you know, I decided I'd set the window to 20 minutes for editing, 5 minutes for deleting. I'll see how that goes and consider making further changes in the future.

Edit: Actually, it looks like I can't set the timers separately with this plugin. Oh well.
