We might get more responses if we ask the uni., organisation etc to forward a query where a search fails to find an email address.

Do you mean email the university in lieu of an email address? Well, that would mean hunting down uni emails as well - not sure if it's worth the trouble and complication. I'd suggest if we find the email of any authors of a paper (preferably first author but if not, co-authors are okay) then great, if not, we'll miss that paper.
