The latest version of Firefox features full support for emerging coding language HTML 5, tabs for apps, a redesigned user interface and a feature that helps users organize tabs for the websites they visit frequently.

It also includes a "do not track" feature, designed to tell sites you visit that you don't want to be tracked for advertising purposes. The sites still have to comply for it to work.

The browser is available for download in 80 languages on Windows, Mac and Linux and will be available soon on Android and Maemo devices, according to Mozilla.

Daniel, funny that you post about Firefox 4.0 just as I wanted to start a new thread to find out if the SkS-Add-on will still work after switching from 3.6 to 4.0?

Cheers

Hope it still works, ill be helpless without the add-on.

BTW, Shine tech have been uber busy of late but have now freed one guy up to work some more on the add-on.

I downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0 on my Netbook and it unfortunately comes up with the add-on not being compatible :-(

Cheers

P.S.: What is the best way to get the fontsize set "properly" (aka readable) with the new WYSIWYG-editor and using Firefox?

So is the current status that the SkS add-on doesn't work with Firefox 4.0?

Not sure if the old add-on works on FF4.0 but the new add-on should work. It's been submitted to Mozilla but if anyone wants the new add-on (with a new addition - a Date field making it easier to submit peer reviewed papers), say so here or email me and I'll email you the file.

Go ahead and send it to me, John.  I stopped using the old one on this older machine with Firefox 3.6 (too much of a performance hit); will see if the new version of Firefox and the App slow down this old girl even more...

Daniel, did I ever end up sending you the add-on? If not, apologies for missing your request in this thread. The new add-on has been approved by Mozilla so you can get it by upgrading the existing add-on.

Ville, could you try installing the latest upgraded add-on?

It's OK, John, just got the app from the website:

All of a sudden the Add-on's buttons re-appeared in Firefox 4.0! I didn't even have to do anything actively, Firefox apparently automatically noticed that an updated version has been made available and re-activated it. Neat....
