  • The list of SkS blog posts needs to be updated to include Monckton Myths #9-13.
  • Should we make rebuttals out of Monckton Myths #10-12?
  • Monckton Myth #13 is published, but not the associated rebuttal “IPCC disappeared the Medieval Warm Period”. Why is this?
  • The rebuttal “Most of the last 10,000 years were warmer” is published, but on the Monckton Myths page it is still listed as unrebutted. Why is this? Also, why wasn’t it published as part of the Monckton Myths series?

1. I'll add the latest blog posts but also set up the skeptic admin so everyone can do it

2. Yes

3. We just haven't got around to it yet (note - you're welcome to do this :-)

4. The forum discussion on the 10,000 argument made me realize we needed to take our time and rebut it properly rather than rush it. So its not yet published.

I've added all the latest blog posts to MM:

http://www.skepticalscience.com/Monckton_Myths_blog.htm

But more importantly, I've added a new feature to the Skeptic Admin so any author can now assign a SkS blog to a particular skeptic. So as you write blog posts about a skeptic, please do take the trouble to stop by the Skeptic Admin and assign your blog post to the skeptic.

The IPCC disappeared the MWP rebuttal has been live for several days.  I linked it at the bottom of MM #13.

MM #11 was also incorporated into CO2 limits will harm the economy.

I didn't make MM #10 into a rebuttal - I'm not sure if it really needs to be one.  It's based on information from several other rebuttals.

I notice we still don't have a rebuttal for "Arctic was warmer in 1940". Should I go ahead and create one from Robert Way's MM #12?

That would be great. As I seem to recall, Dana asked Robert if he could create the rebuttal but we forgot to follow up so if you could create that, would be great.

I believe this Arctic myth has popped up recently - if anyone could find some examples of this in recent times (I think in the European press), we could always make the adapted rebuttal as a new blog post just to remind people how wrong it is. A bit of repetitiveness is not a bad thing in these kinds of cases when a myth won't die quietly.

Yeah, I actually did follow-up by trying to email Robert at his other email address.  Didn't get a response from either *shrug*.  But I did add it to the rebuttal list, so feel free to take a whack at it James.
