is back to his old ways.  I did try and post the boilerplate warning message but the post was deleted by another mod.  He does need to be warned though that his behaviour is likely to see him barred.

See other thread Dikran. Looked like spam to me!

I could always do a blanket restore of all the Poptech comments  - is the Denominator thread nonsensical without all those Poptech comments?

Since the Poptech comments account for pretty much 50% of all the comments on the Denominator thread, then yes.

However, since many had to be moderated out, including the flurry at the end which necessitated his initial banishment, then it is indeed debatable whether those cmments should be reinstated.  The current thread he was spamming would have to be remoderated as well as the Denominator thread.

Your call.  I could moderate both threads in about an hour to make them compliant with the comments policy after reinstatment.

Keep in mind, Andrew's ultimate goal had to have been provocation resulting in banishment.  It is his nature.  If he can take all of his comments with him into Limbo, the bigger the win for him.

Pardon any mispellings or grammatical illiteracies: about 6 or 7 beers today alone into a weeklong sales seminar this week and I'm pretty loopy right now.

If you go to the How Skeptical Science moderation works thread (at the top of the Moderator forum), you'll now see this new section:

Labelling Spam

There is a SPAM link beneath each comment. Clicking this disables the commenter's user account, labelling them as a 'spammer'. It also deletes every single comment they ever posted on SkS. Only use this for blatant spam! Eg - spam comments that advertise viagra or Nigerian scams. Don't use it to label a legitimate commenter as a spammer.

Just clarifying for future reference, the SPAM link is to be used sparingly. Fortunately we haven't been targeted by spambots for ages now. Just trolling misinformers.
