I have given KL his final warning:

Note:  You have been counselled repeatedly over your failure to comply with the Comments Policy.  So be it.  The next personal attack or gratuitous insult will result in a revocation of your participation privileges in this forum.  When your comments are formulated to comply with the Comments Policy, they definitely add to the discussion here.  Others reading this: no baiting.

He has been given the warnings found here already (multiple times for #1 and 1 time for #2).

His trolling of moderator Dikran this morning can be found here.

It is disapointing that he responded to my advice (not to snark at the moderators) with another snark against the moderators.  It seems to me that he is deliberately trying to goad the moderators into banning him.  Perhaps we ought to have a borehole, so that if that happens, the attempts at earning a ban are there for all to see?

A borehole would be a great idea. I noticed someone (orkneygal?) on another site complaining that they'd been banned from SkS - would be good to show/explain exactly why someone was banned to avoid claims that SkS is 'biased'.

Ken is the type that delights in poking the bear with a stick...even after it wakes up.

Yes, a borehole would be an interesting experiment.  Posterity is a great check on human behaviour.

Re Ken, about bloody time IMHO.

Anne-Marie Blackburn, orkneygal is a denier who also trolls the BBC (Richard's Black's blog) and Gareth's "Hot Topic".  Not a nice person at all s/he is.

Orkneygal also pops up occasionally at Open Mind, when she sums up the courage.  Tamino shows little inclination to tolerate her antics, so it's seldom these days.

Yes, Ken is past due.  Perhaps he will change his ways...in the same fashion as the leopard changes his stripes or the Scorpion changes his dealings with the Frog.

Ah, I knew I'd seen the username in more than one place - and not surprised to see her complain about being banned, though she of course has a unique interpretation of events.

I concur about Ken, for what it's worth - he's a pain, or rather he winds me up quite easily when I feel I'm usually patient.

Albatross, meant to say thank you for your input on the extreme weather blog - saved me quite a lot of work and effort :)

No worries Anne-Marie.  That is nice to hear, I didn;t think anyone had noticed.  Tom Curtis, as per usual, has provide dsome very useful links and discussion.

I must echo Anne-Marie's sentiments, Albie.  You, Sphaerica and Tom always provide clear and detailed responses that clearly debunk the dissemblers narratives, but do so in a way much more charitably than I.

Only my magical moderator hat keeps me from leveling both barrels and pulling the trigger...  :)

Thanks to all of you!

Thanks Dan, and you are welcome. I think you are being too kind; I'm feeling pretty snarky and cranky these days, especially with peple like Ken and the Erics-- both of whom are clearly talking though their hats-- that is disingenuous IMHO.

Heh.  I, for one, am only too happy to call an apple an apple, a snake a snake and an idjit an idjit.

Hence why I choose to moderate instead (it forces me to refrain from self-righteous retaliation and being civil instead; not to mention helping to keep me on just 1 BP med instead of 3).

On a related issue, do you think Ken's about to propose to BP?  Every time BP posts, Ken is full of fawning admiration for him.

I think it quite likely they communicate by email (ever since BP took KL to task last year on a minor point & KL bitterly complained about BP violating the "Code").

And as a final effort:

John Cook - the Moderation by Daniel Bailey has been a disgrace on this thread.

When Albatross, KR and Painting have been called and shown to be wrong, they have made nonsense accusations against BP, ETR and me - Bailey has stepped in with blatantly biased moderation to save their bacon. An absolute disgrace to SKS.

About time IMO.  As Dan can attest, Ken, BP and Eric have all been behaving despicably of late...the distortion, the games, the innuendo etc.

In the end I think, like Dan has noted, their tag teams was their downfall-- they simply got too confident and cocky (even though they were wrong) and there was an element of baiting and piling on.  SkS is much better for not having BP and Ken around-- unfortunate, b/c in the early days BP made some insightful and positive contributions.  It was interesteing to see how his desperation (i.e., untenable position) drove him to focus less on the science and more on games.

A suspect that Eric will be gone soon as well.

How sad, not! I think Ken and BP realized they had made a ginormous blunder and had to create as much a distraction as possible to draw attention away from it. Note how busy BP was posting extraneous stuff after his error was pointed out.
