Energy and Environment currently have the following paper on open access, get it while you can

Fred Singe, "Lack of consistency between modeled and observed temperature trends", Energy and Environment, vol 22, no. 4, 2011

Even E&E should be ashamed of themselves for this.

my favourite quote "The chaotic nature of trends derived from climate models presents a fundamental problem.  Successive runs of a model often lead to vastly different results"

Well of course they do, the observed weather is chaotic, so it is appropriate that the models are chaotic as well.  The variability in the modelled trends is just the models correctly simulating the internal variability of the climate!  Duh!
