That guy is nuts!

As a bus and bike user in the UK, sometimes even the buses don't use the bus lanes. This causes the drivers to regularly comment in the local paper that the lanes are an expensive waste of time. The real problem is that high density building results in bus lanes starting and stopping along stretches of road as the available space changes.

An empty bus lane is great for cyclists, you feel very safe on a busy road.
