Until reading this article, I did not know that scientists had already determined that ocean acidification impares a fish's ability to smell. Now it appears that hearing is impared as well.

ScienceDaily (June 4, 2011) — Baby clownfish use hearing to detect and avoid predator-rich coral reefs during the daytime, but new research from the University of Bristol demonstrates that ocean acidification could threaten this crucial behavior within the next few decades.
