I don't know if it's just me, but there seems to have been a massive increase in astroturf-style denialist activity of late. Has anybody else noticed this?

Certainly at the Guardian and Desmogblog there has been an avalanche of trolling.

Cheers - John

Perhaps a new class of drones just graduated from the Climate Denier Spin Machine's Blogger Academy?

As the Tree of Desperation shakes, it gives off much bad fruit...

They know the war is lost, so they fight feverishly to win any battle possible.  Every day without limitations on fossil fuels or changes in the behaviours of its use translate into billions in profits.

Merchants of Denial and Delay.  A rear-guard action is being fought.

In Norway the site forskning.no (forskning = research) which presents new research on a varity of research subjects comments are now not allowed for all climate related articles - to me it seems that more and more newspapers in Norway is doing the same (casual observation, but not a published policy it seems). I think it was a good move as the site forskning.no was littered with desinformation from denialists group as Klimarealistene.com (climate realists).

I've noticed an upsurge at Yahoo! Answers - gets quite annoying since Y!A hides answers that receive 5 or more thumbs down ratings than thumbs up - and guess what happens frequently?

Of course, as I now browse through the site some more, it seems like that was a short term spree - maybe it has to do with the time of day.

How's that for surreality?
