Today ClimateProgress used Dana's Should You Believe Anything John Christy Says and John's Muller's Misinformation in this post this morning regarding the congressional hearings.

Quote from Romm:
SkS accuses Mueller of "misinformation" -- but the charge below has been debunked so many times in the past two years, including by the independent commissions reviewing the emails -- that it must now qualify as disinformation.
I'm starting to feel like the child between 2 bickering parents, Joe Romm & Nealstradamus :-)

John,

To be perfectly honest, I do not think being quoted by JR is good for SkS's ability to have any influence on Mulller.

My perspective is based upon my evaluation of the strategic impllications.

Romm's perspective seems to be based on a lot of unresolved anger.

I haven't seen Muller's testimony yet but I heard one person describe Muller as looking like a penitent dog. And WUWT have turned on him big time too.

So the criticism he's sustained from several directions does seem to have, at least at the Thursday hearing, tempered his approach. Wondering whether we should keep whaling on him or not. Hmm...

However, John Christy, on the other hand, has provoked much rage among scientists watching the hearing - he is a positive fount of egregious misinformation. A much worthier recipient of SkS attention.

John,

As I've suggested on another thread, I think Christy should be confronted on how he squares being a Christian with giving false testimony before Congress; and on a topic which has grave consequences for the future. It's not like cheating at cards, which is just a little bit of money. And I don't mean just being in error: I mean saying things that he knows to be untrue. You can consult dana for examples.
