Latest from Goddard (funny how guest posts are always attributed to me, even when his screengrab clearly contains the author):

Cook : 97% Of Scientists Believe That Climate Change Does Not Happen Naturally

http://www.skepticalscience.com/news.php?n=646

If Cook’s statement were correct, the implication would be that the climate does not normally change.

Climate scientists can’t forecast the Sun, volcanoes, oceanic cycles, clouds, rain, snow, ice, soil moisture – or anything else which affects the climate long term, but they claim that they can predict the future based on a single variable.

This is witchcraft, not science.

For the record, no, I'm definitely not responding to this post - this kind of gratuitious strawman doesn't deserve the dignity of a response.

Climate is changing and we're causing it = climate change doesn't happen naturally?

That's stupid even by Goddard standards.

It's not stupid, it's intentional mendacity.  Completely agree with not gracing his mud by picking it up to study it.

Looks like he needs to re-learn tense use in English.

2011-03-25 17:49:50I digress but I had to appreciate this comment on the Goddard post

Rank has it's privilege    ;-)

You get the glory, but all the guns get pointed at you also.

Good luck and carry on.

I don't want glory but I'm not a big fan of guns either. I don't know if it's my imagination but it seems the attacks on SkS (and hence me) are increasing. I take it as a sign that our effectiveness is increasing.

You bet it is, their number one tactic is attacking the messengers, the better you do, the more is going get heaped on.

When they start cyber attacking SkS, you'll know you are really making inroads.

The dialogue is soo depressing.

How does learning about science compete with a political war that disregards science?
