John Cook

I just retweeted @Mothincarnate who lists 200+ peer reviewed papers supporting AGW:

Coincidentally, for the last few days, I've been on "peer review red alert". Whenever Ari tweets a new paper, I use the firefox add-on to add it to our database. If TB emails papers, I add those. I've been going through our rebuttals, looking for papers not yet added (today, I did every paper listed at http://sks.to/greenhouse). The reason is because I'm keen to bloat out our database of papers as listed here:

Obviously this is a huge job. But if everyone could be on "peer review red alert" and be prepared to add papers to the database whenever you encounter one, it will surely, steadily build this page into one absolutely kick-arse resource. So please consider installing the firefox add-on and switching to red alert :-)

  1. Your url has an erroneous space in it.
  2. I removed the space and the page initially loaded, with errors.  I refreshed the page & got a blank page.  Reloaded into a fresh browser window, still nothing.  Weird.  Using Firefox 3.6.13

Hmm... perhaps I should take a count within my lists...

I counted the papers in my lists.

Total count is 2180 papers.

There are some denier papers in the lists. I'll assume 10 % which most likely is far too large number. This results in 1962 papers.

There are some papers that are in two lists. For overlap I estimate another 10 % which feels far too large number. The count is now 1765 papers.

There are some non-peer-reviewed papers (some reports for example). Another 10 % (which again feels too large number) makes the count to be 1589 papers.

There are some amount of neutral papers in these lists. I'd say 20 % might be good estimate. That brings the count to 1271 papers.

My lists are strongly leaning towards observations so I would say that observational papers alone supporting AGW in my lists are equal in amount to the "800 denialist papers". Furthermore, most of my lists are only scratches at the surface.

I have finally got some graphics displayed here that represents the numbers in the XML file.

Still quite a bit of work to do yet, fixing bugs and making it presentable.
