In addition to a written summary of Kiehl's paper, the Environmental Research webpage has a video of an interview with him. Would it be kohser for John Cook to invite Kiehl to post a summary of his paper on SkS?

Stephen Leahy "Dan Vergano at USA Today had a fair take on it i tht. " comment by netdr on the USA Today article: "I have posted on skepticalscience before and it is a crooked game. When I posted on the warming since the Little Ice age page I was told that didn't explain the rapid [1.2 ° C per century.] warming fro 1978 to 1998. When i responded that the PDO caused the rapid warming I was yelled at again and my posts deleted. "

Well this is interesting. minutes after posting the warmcast link and pointing out the email address on this thread, I started getting spam comments left on the blog. Fortunately blogger is filing them away for moderation rather than displaying them. I assume the timing is a coincidence! I haven't received a copy of the paper yet.

As you all know by now, the NETDR is as stubborn as a mule and, unfortunately, is very prolific and nasty. Like most climate denier bloggers, his "science" is driven by his political and religous ideology. Up until late this year, I had engaged him in marathon blogging sessions on the comment threads of USA Today articles on climate change. Unfortunately, I was banned from making comments on USA Today because the NETDR and his cohorts mounted a campaign against my alledgedly "ad hominem" attacks. (BTW, the person behind the NETDR screeen posted as "Oliver Stone" on USA Today a couple of years ago until he was banned.) Personally, I am convinced that the person behind the NETDR screen is Cavin M. Wolff whose wbsite is: http://www.calvin-m-wolff.com/bottombarrel/doubleCO2_frames.htm Wolff and his website were discussed in a prior General Chat thread: http://www.skepticalscience.com/thread.php?t=605&r=9BTW, Wolff updated his website in January of this year.

Badgersouth... Wolff's little paper is interesting. He must be something else! A whole "paper" written without the need for citing even one scientific paper, only referencing websites, and attributing a couple of charts. Wow. That's impressive. //sarcasm off |
