Post is here. Bit of a filler - we still get skeptics posting here from time-to-time about short-term SLR trends, and ignoring the big picture. Be interesting to see how much SLR spikes if we get a big El Nino, although the consequences won't be pretty.

Maybe you can make a parallel with the escaltor somewhere.

Dana has already made up a gif for the satellite altimetry record, and I linked to it in the text of the post, but I guess few people actually click on the links. I've jiggled it around to include the gif animation too.

Thanks.

I could probably update that GIF, now that the short-term sea level data is trending upwards again, if you want.

Only if you have time buddy. I'm not fussed about it. Better to wait until later in the year, see if neutral or El Nino conditions develop and update then.

Rob,

You might to point out that sea level rise is not uniform throughout the world's ocean system and gets concentrated around the equator due to centrifigual forces.

Rob - looks good, although your link on La Nina appears to show little change over the last few weeks.

KR - yeah, considered it might perhaps invite a troll comment, but that's the state of things at the moment. Thanks.

John H - yes, I do need to get around to that blog post one day........
