The first sentence of the second paragprah of the last section reads: "However both sites..."

i suggest, "However both sites (Milne Bay Province in Papua New Guinea and off the island of Ischia, Italy)...

Interesting post, though the prospect of slime-filled oceans isn't a pleasant one!   I made a few minor editorial changes and added a link to the IEA post to support the statement that we're headed for 750 ppm by the end of the century.

Thank Badger, amended the highlighted paragraph. And yes, seen that Guardian piece, but the new paper by Hall-Spencer has not surfaced yet AFAIK.

Neal, yes an ongoing problem when I'm trying to cover too much ground (and when I'm not!). I'll rejig, and see if it comes off less stilted. I'll have to do a series on OA and oceanic change, because there's a lot of information to get across.
