In a follow-up to the Christy testimony rebuttal, i put together a post detailing the Republican efforts to revoke the EPA's authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.  The intended target is the mainstream media.  Let me know if you have any feedback.

*update* the revised post is linked below

"ignorant opinions of a few corrupt politicians" - lose "corrupt".

I wasn't sure of the significance of this bill - it's been many years since I've watched West Wing and I forget how US politics operate. But I was concerned this bill would overturn the EPA finding - good to hear it has to get by the senate and Obama before it can come into the effect.

Markey's comments rock! :-)

Filibustered?. Not that clear to an international audience.

Great piece, nothing to add on the content, but maybe the title could be catchier?. The concluding remarks are great and are in line with Markey's. Maybe "Republicans to repeal laws of physics" or something in that vein. The laws of physics huh!, what have they ever done for us?.

2011-03-12 19:18:01Second Rob's suggestion

Go with the repeal theme, it reinforces Markey's quote and makes it clear what GOP are trying to do.

Oh and thumb from me

Maybe compare this to legislating that pi = 3?

Yeah I thought "corrupt" might be going a bit far, thought it's true!  Took that out.  I changed the title to Republicans to Repeal the Laws of Physics, and clarified the filibuster bit.  James, I think the pi = 3 legislation was a myth.

Any more comments?

Oh how I wish most readers could GET how ludicrous the PI = 3 thing was. Might show them their political masters in a different light.
