2011-02-22 04:58:43Answers.com worth a blog post?

We've previously discussed the problems with the Answers.com global warming section.  One of the users there wrote a blog post on the subject.  I'm wondering if it's something we should post about as well.  Answers.com is a very heavily-trafficked site, so it seems like the more posts there are discussing its inaccuracy, the better.

I was thinking of using it as an opportunity to either discuss EG Beck's garbage CO2 graph and/or the recent Schmidt and Lacis papers on the greenhouse effect.  But I'm not sure if criticizing Answers.com is something SkS should be doing.  Any thoughts on this?

But we need to do a Beck rebuttal first (unsure if we already have one; if we do, we should update it & re-post).

To paraphrase someone much more famous than me:

No, we don't have a Beck rebuttal yet.  This would be a good opportunity to make one.

I dont know if its necessary to write a rebuttal on E.G. Beck. As you probably know Beck died last year. Since then its very rare that I read articles referirng to him.

If you want to write a rebuttal, dont forget to mention his E & E paper "50 Years of Continuous Measurement of CO2 on Mauna Loa" which contradicts his first paper (that one which is discussed widley, for example on realclimate).

What a horrid paper - thanks Martin.  Freaking E&E will publish just about anything, won't they?  As long as it's got a "skeptic" bent, of course.
