Ran this past John:

Exit strategy for the Meet the Denominator thread: Do we have one?

It was an interesting experiment, but one that has run its course.

Poptech is indefatigable and immune to logic and the scientific method.  Against such an adversary traditional methodologies are doomed to impasse.
This makes the thread the Skeptical Science version of Afghanistan (substitute with many other protracted losing campaigns).

I say we let Rob write up a closing synopsis giving fair balance to Poptech's position and perspective, but giving Skeptical Science the last word.
And lock the thread & throw away the key.

Upshot is this:
  • John is going to program in the new functionality.
  • Rob, when that's available, can you write up the closing synopsis for your Meet the Denominator post?
  • If you're too pressed with time I can do it for you
I think we'll all be glad to put this one to bed.

No Rob, I think you are actually channelling Mary Shelley.

Yeah, but I didn't find Frankenstein anywhere near as funny.

You need to watch the version with Gene Wilder & Teri Garr ("What Knockers!")...
