A new paper has come out that does fingerprint modeling on the diurnal cycle and finds human influence:

http://journals.ametsoc.org/doi/abs/10.1175/2010JCLI3908.1

This nicely reinforces some of Dana's and my earlier content on human fingerprints. I don't suppose somebody with library access could email me a copy? Am keen to do a post on this paper. Thanks!

John, can't help you with that one, but there's also this older paper, about the "weekend effect" in the diurnal cycle:

Great stuff. Had a quick look. Hate how those pre-prints shove the figures right down the end of the paper - have to keep jumping back and forth. Oh well, shouldn't complain - just appreciative to get a copy of the full paper :-)
